With rain over-night and a stormy forecast for the day, only the hearty showed up for our first meet on the new Beaver Brook North map. But fortunately the rain held off until after 1:00, so those who came early or ran fast had a dry day. The forest was a little thick and nasty in places, with a mixture of thorns, vines, and close-together saplings making for some slow running. And the poison ivy was just sprouting up everywhere.
Except for the occasional wind gusts, the meet went pretty smoothly, thanks to the help of Pete Lane, Andy McIlvaine, Richard Shapiro, Jim Paschetto, Raina Crawford, Peter Amram (vetting) and probably others who I have forgotten.
