The weather did not cooperate this weekend. The temperature dipped and the rain came and went during the whole day. However, 93 people showed up at the meet. Prospect Hill is always a popular orienteering spot, probably because of its convenient location. This was a 100% e-punching event, something that went quite smoothly thanks to the tech prepping by Pete Frykman. All participants returned safely and seemed to enjoy themselves. A number of participants had a free event voucher, because they had participated in the Scout-O the previous day. The only glitch of the meet was that the climb of the Yellow course was underestimated making it look easier on the map than in reality. Great help by Joanne Sankus for helping setting up protective tarps and a tent for the very necessary rain protection + the instructing of a Scout group. Start/finish was flawlessly handled by Bob Dangel and Bill Binette, and registration by Marcia Steere, Caroline Fleming and Dean Sturtevant. And in particular many thanks to Jim Paschetto for vetting, setting out and picking up controls + handling the results at the end of the meet.
