Orienteering at Mount Tom, Earl's Trails, and Norwottuck.
Join us to sharpen your skills, hang out with other orienteers, and maybe even explore the area. There will be two advanced and intermediate training sessions on both Saturday and Sunday, with coaching and review sessions as well.
NEOC will also host a regular event on Memorial Day Monday at Norwottuck (permit pending).
Our base will be Camp Lewis Perkins (GSA) in South Hadley. There are 4 person and 6 person cabins, as well as places to pitch tents. We can dine in the well-ventilated outdoor pavilion or in the dining hall. Full room and board will be available from Saturday lunch through Monday breakfast. Fire pits and s'mores, too. Twenty minutes drive to Mount Tom from the camp, 8 minutes to Earl's Trails and Norwottuck. For those who need their creature comforts, there are plenty of hotels in the area—choose the "training only" option on the registration form.
There is also plenty to do in the area for non-orienteering family members. If there is interest from the younger set, we will organize a daily orienteering activity for them. Check the box on the registration form for Family Activities.
Register HERE. Early bird registration through March 31st. Regular registration deadline April 25th.
