A four-week orienteering series (Saturdays, February 27 - March 26) in Newton for elementary and middle school aged youth.
12:30pm - 1:45pm for grades 2-6
2:00pm - 3:15pm for middle school age youth.
This class, hosted by Newton Recreation, is a collaboration to introduce children to orienteering, between Navigation Games (arranging and teaching the class) and Orienteering USA (providing the Auburndale Park map through the Youth Mapping Program).
Participants will take part in a set of progressive activities to develop orienteering and map reading skills. Come dressed for the weather!
Register at the Newton Recreation website. The series costs $110.
Location: Auburndale Park. Registration is limited due to COVID.
