Foot and bicycle event in Belmont/Lexington/Waltham/Watertown area
Comments:
We are all set for another Wanderings with a great event for mountain bikers and trail runners! As we did last year, the Start is right next to some woods (Storer Conservation, a.k.a. Stonehurst, a.k.a. Paine Estate) which will have some foot-only white and yellow type controls. We are also on the "Western Greenway Trail" which connects over eight forest properties including Storer, the two Beaver Brooks, Rock Meadow, and Lone Tree Hill. Eight controls will be on this trail, covering a distance of 10K of trail running or mountain bike terrain, with another 4K of roads to get back to the start. There will be plenty of options to avoid the trails, with over 40 additional controls scattered around the streets of Waltham, Watertown, Belmont, and Newton.

As in past years, please email Jim Crawford if you are coming so I can have enough maps printed. Same foot/bike/short/long/combo options as last year.
Directions:
Start will be in Waltham by the High School (170 Jack's Way). Note Woodcliff Drive is blocked off, you must come from Lexington St.
