The Billygoat is a mass-start, long-distance orienteering event. The course requires intermediate to advanced orienteering skills, and will be 10-14 km long. There are two courses: the full Billygoat, and the Pygmy goat, which is a shorter version of the Billygoat. All who complete the course in under 3.5 hours get a teeshirt. There will be no beginner courses offered at this meet.
Arrive early; the group walk to the start will begin at 10:20 a.m. The Pygmy goat will start at the same time as the Billygoat. The race starts at 11:00 a.m. and awards are at 2:30 p.m. The time limit is 5 hours (4:00 p.m.); all competitors must return to the Finish by 4:00 p.m..
