The New England Orienteering Club
  • June 9, Blue Hills (Milton, MA): Come out to the Blue Hills for a mass start Score-O, annual picnic, and New England Fundraiser for the National Team summer travel! The mass start will begin at 10:30am with an hour time cap so that everyone can be back for the meeting/picnic. There will also be a white and yellow course available for starts from 10:30-11:00. We are still looking for a few volunteers for the event. Sign up here. A few highlights of the activities:
    • New England Fundraiser for National Team Travel: The fundraiser will feature two components: a sale of old NEOC and National team gear, and a raffle featuring one cake, a pair of orienteering earrings, and a SI Air. Tickets will be $5 or 5 tickets for $20. Prizes awarded at picnic.
    • Board Elections: We will elect new board members at the picnic. We have five amazing candidates running for five open positions. Check out the candidate bios.
    • 2023 Meet Director Thank yous and Volunteer Program: We will hand-out a small thank you for 2023 meet directors and talk about the 'free orienteering card' that volunteers receive for helping out.
  • Junior and National Team Member Travel Stipends: NEOC is offering travel stipends (between $300 to $1500) for juniors and OUSA national team members who apply. Details of the application process are on the NEOC website.
  • Spring Park-O Thursday Series (SPOTS): We have made it to event six of the series. Register for the full series or for just one of the events. Pre-registration is required by Tuesday before the event. We will be at Hammond Pond this week at a recently updated map this week!
